For more than 20 years, F·E·G·S has worked in partnership with New York City and State agencies to assist tens of thousands of individuals in the life-changing transition from welfare to self-sufficiency, to integrate more successfully into the community, to progress to career and employment opportunities, and build lives of greater dignity and independence for themselves and their families.
F·E·G·S programs help individuals overcome challenges to achieving employment, including: physical and mental health disabilities; economic barriers; lack of literacy, English language, computer, and other vital skills. Participants learn job search techniques, interviewing skills, and receive job retention support services as they move toward the world of work.
