Family Services

F·E·G·S works closely with Jewish communal institutions, UJA-Federation of New York, and others to bring caring and compassionate direct services to individuals and families in need – from emergency financial assistance in a crisis to counseling and support  to coping with the sensitive issues surrounding the end of life.

• Adopt-a-Family works through Long Island synagogues to match volunteers with individuals and families in crisis. F·E·G·S case management services provide links to entitlements, benefits, and other resources. & Contact Information
  
• F·E·G·S NoBody’s Perfect® – Eating Disorders Program is a school-based education and prevention program for young Jewish women and men, and their families across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The program is also available in other communities. & Contact Information
  
• Partners in Caring – Bukharian Community provides information, referral, assessment, counseling, support groups, and community education services to congregants and community members,       on-site at Queens Bukharian synagogues and day schools. & Contact Information
  
• Partners in Caring – Long Island provides information, referral, assessment, counseling, support groups, and community education services to congregants and community members, on-site at Long Island synagogues. & Contact Information
  
• Partners in Dignity: The Long Island Regional Care Center for The Jewish Healing and Hospice Alliance, an initiative of UJA-Federation, provides Jewish individuals and families with needed services when facing life-limiting and advanced illness, including: case management; pastoral and bereavement counseling; palliative care; advocacy; referral; and other support services.
