Public assistance recipients are helped to improve literacy skills and gain entry into the workplace. Courses in Adult Basic Education (ABE), English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preparation use curricula contextualized for the work world. Use of state-of-the-art technology to gain or advance literacy and employment skills helps participants prepare for employment. Referrals through the New York City Human Resources Administration.
