Suited for Work
Jesus's new attire, provided by Suited for Work helped him gain additional confidence for an important job interview. Karen Zuckerman (right) FEGS Associate Vice President, Volunteer Services, developed this successful program.

Suited for Work provides clients of FEGS' employment programs with new, business-appropriate clothing that they need to attend interviews and return to work. By offering our clients the opportunity to present themselves at their best at interviews and on the job, Suited for Work raises their confidence and empowers them to achieve their goals.

Suited for Work is a volunteer-run program, originally designed for male job seekers who had difficulty finding the resources for free and low cost business attire. Since the program's inception in February 2008, we have served over 8,000 clients and are working to ensure that this service continues to be available - at no cost - to men and women who can benefit from it.

The program depends upon generous donations of merchandise from manufacturers, and also works with the Aveda Institute to provide individuals with haircuts and personal grooming tips to enhance their self-esteem and job preparedness.

Renowned designers and manufacturers including Peerless Clothing, Inc., Dignity U Wear, Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, Randa Accessories, Fashion Delivers, Men’s Wearhouse, Inc., Nautica, Jones of New York and Casual Male Retail Group, Inc. are among the generous partners of Suited for Work.
